FABY – Setting and finishing of precious stones recounting something about the background of the owner. In the hope that I will not bore any of you, here are a few paragraphs describing my past experiences leading up to my entry into the world of VAT registration. or rather, because my father was a dealer in gold, he passed on to me a passion for these bright, shining objects, which I first saw as toys, but which are now my profession. I attended the professional goldsmiths’ school where I obtained a certificate as a jewellery-setter,(pursuing a “vocational” course). Then in 2002, at the age of 25, I opened my first workshop, where in future years I will be helping to train a couple of apprentices. My mission in my work is QUALITY. I believe that for a precious piece of jewellery fine material alone is not sufficient, it needs the care of an EXPERT hand. using a wide variety of setting techniques, sometimes in a newly adapted form. really entered a new world, and all we can do now is to live together in it. There are only a few who have the courage to go to “the island”, and it is not easy to survive even there. (“Brave New World” by Aldous Huxley: 1932). comes out of the ”new economy”, “globalization” and so on, without being overwhelmed by the pursuit of false myths. It is our personal responsibility to make use of the good side of the new world, for man determineshis own destiny. The rest is an assemblage of instruments which change from time to time, according to the evolution of our species. may not be readily apparent. In reality, all that I have just written represents me better than any CVs compiled in the Anglo-Saxon style. Or does it? To my future (and many) clients, I want to express my hopes for a favourable verdict. |
